Reflective Scripture: Colossians 3:13; Mark 11:25-26; Matthew 6:14-15
It’s easy to harbor unforgiveness toward those that hurt you. It’s hardest when they are the closes to you. Logic says, you are suppose to love me and I trust you. In my case, (as difficult as it was) I knew I had to forgive them. I was being obedient to God and moving into His purpose and will for my life for His Glory. The beginning stages of forgiveness was not easy for me because it felt impossible as I replayed the devastation and pain in my mind. If you are having a hard time forgiving, ask God to help you (that is what I had to do). God will soften your heart to pray for those that you need to forgive. Your hurt, anger, and resentment will become loving with feeling of contentment. When you forgive someone it doesn’t make them right or justify what they’ve done. It releases it to God’s hand so that He can deal with them. Forgiveness doesn’t depend on if they apologize or admit their guilt. Forgiveness releases it to God and allow God to deal with them then moves you to God next dimension and His purpose.
My prayer:
Father God, in Jesus name, we believe You want the best for us. We know that You are pleased when we surrender to Your Will. We give up our desires and asked that You replace them with Your Will. We plant seeds of goodness in our minds, believing in our hearts and speaking them out of our mouths. We want to truly forgive those that trespassed against us as You have forgiven us. Lord, for some it may be harder than others to forgive but Lord we are giving it all up for Your will for our future. Lord, we will not be held in bondage by our past and today we declare and decree Your will be done in our lives. As we release those that have hurt us. God we place all that was done into your hands. We pray that they will become aligned with You and they move into right standing with You just as we are. In the might name of Jesus. Amen, Amen, Amen!!!
